A brief explanation of klezmer …
The word klezmer comes from two Hebrew words: klay, which means “vessel
of,” and zemer, meaning “song.” It’s a Yiddish
word for musical instrument and is used to describe the dance music of Eastern
European Ashkenazi Jews. It’s also a term for the musicians who play it.
Steel City Klezmer has entertained at festivals and concerts,
weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other events for over ten years.
“It was a pleasure working with you and your ensemble, the Steel City Klezmorim.
You presented an educational and entertaining program that won't soon be forgotten.”
